Activity 6: Can freshwater float on saltwater?

Find out if freshwater can float on saltwater.

You will need: two glasses of the same size, water, water colors blue and red food colors, salt, teaspoons.

That’s how it’s done:

1. Fill two glasses with water.
2. Add a little blue color to one glass and a little red to the other glass.
3. Sprinkle 2 to 3 tablespoons of salt in the blue glass.
4. Take a teaspoon and slowly add small drops of red water to the blue water.
